After an apprenticeship in hotel business administration in Heidelberg, Michael Altewischer was working in the Controlling and as executive director in four and five star hotel sector.

He is a honorary member of German Hotel Association Deutschland (IHA) and jointly responsible fort he wellness hotel sector. Member of the general board of Deutsche Gesellschaft für das Badewesen (DGfdB).
Since 2004 he is, on behalf of the fair Berlin, responsible for organizing the ITB Experts Forum Wellness.
