Energy Therapy
Energy therapy - What ist it?
An energy therapy is a form of so-called alternative therapies, aiming to redisvover a state of balance, health and inner order. During energy therapies, clients are asked to feel, sense and express themselves. An energy therapy consequently does not seek to heal or to optimize but much rather is about stimulating senses. Energy therapy differs from other therapies in that no symptom is repaired or optimized, but the origin is sought. It is considered a self-exploration trail and was developed by Alice Drott and Markus Trapple. Behind this is the principle "Attention draws energy". Energy should represent vitality and zest for life. When it flows, clarity and calm emerge, say the energy therapists. They assume that all that is, is energy.
The most popular forms of energy therapies are Music Therapy, Therapeutic Touch and Reiki. Some energy therapies might also make us of light and sound.
Energy therapies are a part of energy medicine. In energy medicine it is assumed that an energy field surrounds every human. Thus, there is no scientific evidence that this form of therapy has any sort of effect and is therefore to be viewed as a complementary treatment.
